All New Jersey residents are eligible for individual and public assistance from Federal Emergency Management Agency due to the aftermath of Hurricane Irene. The decision came after President Obama visited the hardest hit towns in New Jersey last week
Individual aid includes temporary housing, repairs, cleanup and loss of personal items.
Public assistance is on a cost sharing basis and covers damaged property like bridges, buildings, and street lights.
